Jeff Stonehouse has been swimming with whales, running with lions, and even more frightening, he's worked for Comedy Central. He’s filmed hundreds of subjects worldwide, hobnobbed with celebrities, and seen his work appear on myriad TV and movie screens. Now his resume features projects broadcast on NBC, CBS, PBS, the BBC, SyFy, and the Comedy Channel, as well as spot work and brand content for The North Face, Yeti, Patagonia, Mini Cooper, and McDonald's to name a few.
The commissions frequently involve variety and adventure, and not all experiences have been entirely safe. He once flew in a rusty helicopter with blown-out windows to reach a Haitian film shoot for the rock group The Fugees.
Although he prefers hanging with the crew, he regularly works with celebrity talent, having shot ads with Lebron James, Tiger Woods, late actor Leslie Nielsen (of “Airplane” fame), and political commentator Bill Moyers. Early in his career, he created music works and concert films for Prince.“Basically…the hype around them is usually the strange part. Working with real talent like the people in Haiti, or these little Inuit villages...that’s most rewarding. I feel like everyone I get to meet I’m privileged to meet, whether famous or not.”
